Happy International Human Rights Day!
Today marks the 70th anniversary of UN’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As we celebrate the anniversary we also must call into question the UN’s current application of the document, particularly the continued push for legal abortion. The UN's Human Rights Committee even went so far as to claim that the so-called right to abortion is a part of the "right to life." Abortion, which always seeks to violently end the life of a defenseless human being, is not a human right -- it is a violation of human rights.
Human rights belong to all human beings and should not be conditional on factors such as age, size, location, ability level or anything else. Join us in calling out the UN’s conditional application of human rights by sharing the following graphics with the hashtag #UNconditionalRights.
