Year-Round Remote Internships
If you have some pretty snazzy writing skills, have written for a blog or a newspaper, or just like whipping out poetry or prose, consider joining our team as an intern staff writer. We are always looking for more essays, fiction, poetry, and commentaries to fill our pages.
Here's the deal: You write for 3 (three) issues of the Life Matters Journal. It's a 6 (six) month term with your articles appearing in every other issue, and others potentially appearing on the blog. The article subjects will be chosen and developed with the help of our Executive Editor, and writing submissions will be subject to a collaborative editing process. The internship period lasts for one year, and to successfully complete the internship would also mean finishing all four pieces of writing.
To apply, submit a resume, cover letter, and 4 writing samples of varying lengths to email@example.com.
If you have some pretty out-of-this-world photography skills, have photographed for a website or a newspaper, or just like whipping out controversial photo commentary, consider joining our team as an intern photographer. We are always looking for more photos and corresponding pictures to fill our pages and to use for online media.
Here's the deal: You submit 120 of your original photographs (20/month) for use in our web and hardcopy works. The internship period lasts for 6 (six) months, and to successfully complete the internship would mean the complete submission of all 240 photographs.
To apply, submit a resume, cover letter, and a photo portfolio of no fewer than 25 photos displaying portraiture, landscape, and still life photography to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have some pretty rad writing skills, have written for a blog or a newspaper, or just like whipping up commentaries and quick bites for the online world, consider joining our team as an intern blogger. We are always looking for a more interactive online presence to engage our readers.
Here's the deal: You write for 6 (six) months of the Life Matters Journal online blog. It's a 6 (six) month term, which would provide us with 12-13 blog posts under your authorship. The internship period lasts for six months, and to successfully complete the internship would mean blogging at least once bi-weekly (every other week) for the Life Matters Journal blog. Topics must be related to life issues, but would be open to your discretion.
To apply, submit a resume, cover letter, and 4 writing samples of varying lengths to email@example.com.
