EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
THE OPPORTUNITY
Rehumanize International is in a critically important period as an organization. The legal and cultural moment has created new opportunities and new points of friction in the struggle to promote the right to life and policies to nurture and support life at all stages. We have previously hired internally to fill the Executive Director role. However, our team is excited for this opportunity to bring in someone with fresh ideas and perspectives. We are looking for someone who is committed to nonviolence and advocating for all tenets of the CLE, but also someone who values diversity, is a powerful communicator, and would find purpose and fulfillment in helping our organization through this time of transition while continuing to fulfill our mission and build our community groups.
Internships
On a case-by-case basis, we may be able to work with students seeking to volunteer or intern with a nonprofit organization for college credit. If you are interested in this, please contact Aimee Murphy.

NOW HIRING STAFF WRITERS!
We are currently looking for passionate people who are willing to share their voices for some of the most persecuted among us: the aborted, bombed, executed and euthanized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide content for both Life Matters Journal (print) and the Rehumanize Blog (digital).

Two (2) pieces of writing per month on current events or salient topics to human dignity, as discussed with the Managing Editor.

Adhere to the Rehumanize International Style Guide at all times.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Background in journalism or discursive and academic writing preferred.

An adherence to and understanding of the principles of the Consistent Life Ethic.

The ability to conceive, develop, and complete plans without close supervision.
COMPENSATION
-
Staff writers are legally freelancers; while no salary is provided, Rehumanize International compensates writers and columnists through an honorarium for each piece published. The payment scale is as follows:

300-499 words: $15

500-799 words: $25

800-999 words: $40

1000+ words: $50

Note: This position is remote, so you may work from wherever you live. If you are located in the Pittsburgh area, where our headquarters is located, you are welcome to come into the office any time!
