Artist Statement:
My song is called "Cease Fire" and is about calling out one's hurtful words or actions that can hurt those around them in worse ways than one might think. While it seems to be calling out one person for most of the song, I also fit in some lyrics describing how everyone is guilty of such actions, but we all have the chance to redeem ourselves. My examples used were a bit more on the extreme side, describing taking lives and torture. I used two extremely different sides of "actions done and words said" to "derangement and torture and pain" to be universally compared, no matter how little or extreme an action may be and how it can affect others.
