We’re proud to announce our new speaker series: Voices for Life and Justice: A Series for Activists in the Making!
In the coming months, we will introduce you to some of the leading voices in the non-violence space. They will talk to you about what they’re doing and how you can get involved. You’ll learn how to go from thinking “this is terrible, I need to do something about it!” to knowing exactly what your next steps should be.
Join us November 11th at 5pm CT to hear from the Pregnant People's Protection Project:
Following the overturn of Roe v. Wade, every state which has banned abortion has legal means by which to perform life-saving triage. However, tragic stories have still come out of the deaths of pregnant people whose physicians may not have been confident that they could legally save their lives. Instead of blaming abortion bans for these preventable deaths, the Pregnant People's Protection Project aims to empower pregnant people to know, understand, and be able to educate their physicians on the legal rights to emergency care which they already have in their home states. Discussing the project's work for Voices for Life and Justice are three volunteer contributors, Paityn, Jenna, and Avie. Learn more about the project at pregnantpeoplesprotection.weebly.com.
